These Generative AI Terms of Service (the "AI Terms") govern your use of the features of Rein that are powered by artificial intelligence. Rein is operated by TrueGuardian, LLC, doing business as Rein ("Rein," "we," "us," or "our"). The AI Terms add to, and form part of, our Terms of Service and are informed by our Privacy Policy. If any AI-specific term here conflicts with the general Terms of Service, these AI Terms control for your use of the AI features. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. If you use the AI features on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business to these AI Terms.
1. What these terms cover
"AI Products" means the parts of the Services that use artificial intelligence, including our trainer and service matching and our AI-assisted document drafting, which helps you generate a starting draft of agreements, waivers, and similar documents. "Input" means anything you submit to an AI Product, such as a description of the document you want. "Output" means anything an AI Product generates in response, such as draft document text. By using an AI Product, you agree to these AI Terms.
2. AI is not professional advice, and a human must review it
The AI Products are a productivity tool, not a lawyer, accountant, veterinarian, or other professional, and they do not give legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice. Documents drafted with AI assistance are starting points only. You are responsible for reading every Output in full, editing it to fit your situation, and having it reviewed by a qualified professional, such as a licensed attorney, where that is appropriate, before you rely on it, sign it, or send it to anyone. Rein is not a party to any agreement you create, send, or sign using the Services.
3. AI can make mistakes
Artificial intelligence is an evolving technology. The AI Products can produce Output that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for your needs, and different users may receive similar Output. The AI Products and all Output are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any Output will be accurate, complete, reliable, or fit for any purpose, or that the AI Products will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
4. You are responsible for your Inputs and Outputs
You are responsible for your Inputs and for any Output you choose to use. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your Inputs. Before you use, rely on, sign, share, or send any Output, you are responsible for verifying its accuracy, completeness, and legality, and for confirming that your use complies with all applicable laws and does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. You decide what to keep, change, or discard.
5. Do not put sensitive personal information into Inputs
Do not include sensitive personal information in your Inputs. This includes, for example, government identification numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, health or medical information, precise geolocation, login credentials, or information that reveals a person's racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Provide only the information reasonably needed to generate the document or result you want.
6. Tell people when content is AI-generated
When you share or send Output to others, you agree to let them know, where appropriate, that the content was generated with the help of artificial intelligence. You may not present AI-generated content in a way that misleads anyone into believing it was created entirely by a person, or that misrepresents who is responsible for it.
7. Rein does not use your content to train AI models
Rein does not use your inputs or AI-generated content to train, fine-tune, or develop AI models. We use your Inputs and Outputs only to provide the AI feature you requested, to operate and secure the Services, and as described in our Privacy Policy. The third-party AI providers we use to power these features are contractually prohibited from using your data to train or improve their own models. We do not sell your Inputs or Outputs.
8. You may not use our AI to train other models
You may not use the AI Products or any Output, or any information you receive or derive from them, to create, train, fine-tune, test, distill, or otherwise develop another artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or to build a product or service that competes with Rein. You may not allow or help others to do so.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the AI Products to generate, distribute, or facilitate content that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise harmful, that infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person, that contains malware or attempts to defeat safety or security controls, or that violates any applicable law or regulation. We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the AI Products if we believe you have misused them, and we may impose limits on how much Output you can generate.
10. Third-party AI providers
We use third-party providers to deliver the AI Products. Matching is powered by Perplexity, and AI-assisted drafting is powered by OpenAI and Anthropic. To provide a feature, the relevant Inputs and Outputs may be processed by these providers under contracts that restrict their use of the data and prohibit using it to train their own models, consistent with our Privacy Policy. Your use of any third-party product or service is also subject to that provider's own terms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and in addition to the limitations in our Terms of Service, you assume all risk associated with your use of, and reliance on, the AI Products and any Output. Rein is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of the AI Products or any Output, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rein and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your Inputs, your Outputs, your use of the AI Products, your breach of these AI Terms, or your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
13. Governing law and changes
These AI Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and are subject to the dispute-resolution and arbitration provisions of our Terms of Service. We may update these AI Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above and, where the change is material, provide notice as described in our Terms of Service. Your continued use of the AI Products after an update means you accept the revised AI Terms.
